2018 Cloud Security Horizons (CSH) Summit

The Cloud Security Horizons Summit series is organized by computer science faculty at Carnegie Mellon University, Cornell Tech, Duke University, North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and the University of Wisconsin at Madison. This series is funded by NSF, via a grant to these faculty to conduct research in cloud security.

The 2018 summit will be a small, focused working meeting, involving the nine faculty involved in the project and their research teams, as well as industry and government participants. It offers an opportunity for industry practitioners and academic colleagues to discuss the most pressing security issues affecting cloud ecosystems today and gain a glimpse into cutting edge research and solutions. Past editions have included participants from Amazon, Microsoft, Dropbox, and many other leading cloud vendors and service providers in a productive and intimate setting. The goals of the meeting are to support exchange of best-practice ideas among the participants; to explore the role that researchers can play in improving security for cloud infrastructures and their tenants; and to gain feedback on the research that we are presently pursuing.

Location

The 2018 summit will be held at Cornell Tech’s recently inaugurated new campus on Roosevelt Island in New York City on 5 and 6 April, 2018.
